1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TheBeacn (the "Service"), operated by Solaos, Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TheBeacn is an entertainment decision engine that helps you decide what to watch across the services you already use, and it is also a streaming service in its own right.
For titles carried by third-party providers, we surface metadata and link you to official sources. We do not host or stream that content, and availability, pricing, and playback on those services are governed by the provider, not by us.
TheBeacn also operates its own channels and catalogs, including live channels and on-demand titles delivered through our own player and content delivery network. That content we do host and stream, either as the rights holder or under license from the rights holder. Content published by a partner or tenant remains the responsibility of that partner under its own agreement with us.
3. Accounts
Most features work without an account. When you sign in with Google for personalized features, you are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Your Google account is governed by Google's terms, not ours.
4. Prohibited Activities
- No scraping, crawling, or automated extraction of data from the Service.
- No using our data or content to train machine learning models.
- No reselling, republishing, or mirroring any part of the Service.
- No attempts to reverse engineer or probe our infrastructure.
- No impersonation, abuse, or unlawful use.
5. Intellectual Property
TheBeacn, Signal, Save, Beam, Lit, Locked In, Static, and Skip are trademarks of Solaos, Inc. All TheBeacn branding, UI, editorial content, and curated metadata are owned by Solaos, Inc. Third-party posters, logos, and metadata remain the property of their respective owners and are used under fair use or applicable licenses (including TMDB, Watchmode, and MusicBrainz).
6. Third-Party Content & Streaming Services
For titles carried by other providers, playback, rentals, and subscriptions happen on those services (Netflix, Hulu, Apple, and others). Your relationship with those providers is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for content availability, pricing, or regional restrictions on third-party platforms. This section does not apply to TheBeacn's own channels and catalogs, which are described in section 2.
7. Advertising
TheBeacn displays sponsored content and programmatic advertising. Video ads are served via the Google IMA SDK; display and native inventory flows through the SSPs listed in our ads.txt. Ad creatives and targeting are controlled by the advertiser and the ad server, not by TheBeacn. Sponsored placements are labeled "Sponsored." 8. Data Collection
We collect only what's necessary to operate the Service. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and your rights.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listings, streaming sources, event times, or scores.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solaos, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of or related to the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma.
