Firelight

In 1838, a governess makes a secret bargain to have a child for an anonymous English landowner in exchange for money to clear her father’s debt. Years later, she takes a post on a remote Sussex estate and discovers the child is there, forcing her to care for her own daughter while keeping their connection hidden.
